Do the words 'Thursday Next' ring a bell with you? That is the name of the heroine in a very clever series of books by Jasper Fforde.. Fforde has just released the first book in a different series. It's title is "The Big Over Easy : A Nursery Crime". Available on Amazon.com and the usual book stores. I have it on order. Damn - I should have had it over-nighted.

Note: Alas, I found it not up to his previous standards. Still very clever and inventive but I never identified with the leading characters.
