I recently spent a quite a bit of time trying to remove various viruses, trojan viruses and spyware from a clients computer. I 'think' I got all of the bad guys removed but by then Windows XP was so damaged that the client is going to have to re-format his hard drive and re-install Windows.
Keep your anti-virus and spyware programs up-to-date.
