Latest phone scam

A new con is spreading; it's in at least eleven states: someone telephones you pretending to be a court official. He says a warrant has been issued for your arrest because you didn't show up for jury duty. If you protest that you didn't receive a notice for jury duty, he asks for your Social Security number and date of birth "to verify their information and cancel your arrest warrant." While it seems an obvious scam when you read about it here, people get flustered and drop their guard. You can read more about it Snopes.com:
