Really slick way to add or extend a wireless network.

NetGear gets my vote for one of the neatest items I have seen for sometime. It is a very simple way to add a wireless access point to an existing wired or wireless router. Need to extend your wireless network? Just plug the bridge unit into a wall A/C outlet near your router, run a network cable from it to an open port on the router, plug the access point unit into an A/C outlet where you need wireless access and you are on the Internet at high speed. No setup, no configuration - just plug the two small units into A/C outlets and you are connected. I was very skeptical but they worked great. Highly recommended.

The 54 Mbps Wall-Plugged Wireless Range Extender Kit Model WGXB102 comes in a box with both units. Confusing documentation which you don't need to read. Prices range from $115 to $130. $150 is the MSRP.

And if you need to have an extended router, check out this NetGear product. Put a 4 port router in a remote room and connect with your base router via A/C wiring. 85 Mbps Wall-Plugged Ethernet Switch Model XE104

2-6-2006 update:
One of my clients connected two Netgear wall plug XE102 ethernet bridge units to allow the remote computer to be connected via cable instead of wireless.
