Outlook stores all of it's information into one 2GB .PST file. Two Gigabytes is huge for most people but very active users will reach this limit resulting in either crashing Outlook or Outlook refusing to download any more email. (Depends upon which version you are using).
Outlook 2003 has unlimited storage capabilities. Well 33 Terabytes which I considered unlimited.
However if you upgraded to Outlook 2003 from a prior version then you are still stuck with the 2GB file size limit. There are conversions routines. Call me if you need help with this.
