A lot of buzz this last week about SaaS - Software as a Service. This means that you run a program over the Internet instead of on your computer. Google is the driving force behind this. Yahoo and MSN both announced versions last week. There is going to be a BIG push behind this. A lot of it will be free and supported by advertising like Google's but some will be fee based.
We live in interesting times.
11-9-2005: Bill Gates has announced that Microsoft WILL change to embrace the SaaS model. This is BIG news. SaaS is also known as Web 2.0 and various other acronyms.
