Picture sent via cell phone

This is SLICK. I took the picture with my cell phone and sent it via the cell phone to go.blogger.com. The first time I sent it, I had to log on to go.blogger.com but now it appears that go.blogger.com automatically forwards it to this blog. Hmm - think of the neat things you could do with a blog of your own. Document your travels, friends, interests, etc.

Second Copy update

Second Copy 2000 (the backup program I recommend) has a minor update to version 6.2.0.41.
Your current version will work fine. I downloaded and installed the new version. It seems to work fine also.

Hit the refresh button

I recommend clicking on your browser's Refresh icon when you visit this web page. Otherwise you will probably not see recent updates.

RSS

I am getting quite a few inquirys about RSS. RSS is an automated way to have selected web content delivered to your computer. I use Newsgator in conjunction with Outlook to have several automatic downloads delivered like email. Start by Googling RSS.

Please respond here

I'm getting a little overwhelmed by the response. I have to copy your email addresses and manually post it into the membership list so it may take awhile for me to catch up.

If you are reading this, please respond with a reply to this post.

Enough for one day

Looks like a good start. More to post tomorrow. Awaiting your feedback.

MS Office

MS05-023 (890169): This fix is probably the biggest concern for Word users, due to the lack of an easy, automatic patch. The buffer overrun that this patch corrects affects Word 2000, 2002 and 2003. If you're running with administrative rights, someone sending you a document using this buffer-overrun exploit would be able to take control of your system.

Hmm...

US-CERT (United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team), a partnership between the Department of Homeland Security and the public and private sectors that impartially tracks all manner of security issues in operating systems and major applications, shows that the list of IE's current vulnerabilities is shorter than those for FireFox, Mozilla, and the other alternate browsers. Likewise, it also lists fewer Windows' vulnerabilities than for the other OSes.
